Spring has sprung

Good morning!  It is so beautiful today.  The nice weather has been lifting my spirits and helping me be uber productive.  This is a good thing because the next week is going to be crazy busy - Easter, Sophie's B-day & Spring break.  I'm also throwing in some extra fun with a 3 day stamping marathon.  My dear friend Val is coming from Chicago for some Stampin' Buddies fun -Yeah!!!!!  I can't wait it's less than a week away.

Today I thought I would post an Easter bonnet card I made.   I saw a similar design on Splitcoast awhile ago and modified it for my need.

I drew the shape free hand on some scrap paper then traced it and cut out the folded card.  I used PTI Tin Types for the background and Martha Stewart Eyelet Lace Edge for the bonnet brim.  I antiqued the edges of the card and the lace using PTI Vintage Touch duo.

The most fun part of this card was creating these flowers.  I used the new PTI Beautiful Blooms II dies.  They cut so easily and add nice dimension to the card.  I found the paper in my scrap pile and finished them off with the buttons.

I hope I have inspired you to think outside the box on the shape of your cards.
